2. Card Reading terminals. This is the electronic terminal we recommend for swiping your customer's credit card when you need a printer for receipts. You can also enter the numbers on the keypad to conduct a transaction if you cannot swipe the credit card, or it is not present. We lease and sell the most popular credit card terminals in use today including the least expensive terminal, the Tranz 330.

When the reader scans a check, it connects to a national database to see if the check qualifies. If it does not, it is declined. If it is approved, and later the check turns out to be bad, you get paid anyway. That is the advantage of having a check guarantee program.

3. Internet processing consists of obtaining a merchant Internet gateway through us to process your credit cards. In real time online, your customer can enter their own credit card number and the sale is authorized within seconds through an Internet gateway. A virtual terminal is also provided to allow you to manually enter credit card numbers on the Internet gateway and process them online, anywhere you have an Internet connection!

4. Wireless devices and terminals. There are a couple of good wireless full size credit card terminals available. We like the 3010. We also lease and sell the Comstar ChargeAnywhere® wireless pager. You can swipe a card almost anywhere (similar to cell phone reception and coverage), get your email messages, receive a page, and even store and forward credit card information in case you are in an area that is blocked from the signal. Simply swipe the card and store the information, then take it with you and forward the numbers when you can acquire a signal again. ChargeAnywhere® wireless pagers $495. There is a .10 cent Internet transaction fee for each transaction.

Remember that wireless terminals, pagers and other wireless devices, all require service plans with either Motient, or Cingular technology. This is currently at $16.99 per month. This is not the same wireless network that mobile phones use. It's the same technology that UPS and FedEx uses.
